About

I'm a developer and founder splitting time between London and San Francisco. Previously a software engineer at Airbus Defence & Space, and completing my Computer Science degree at the University of Manchester.

I build things that ship. Right now I'm building better-dev, an open harness of portable dev practices that run inside the coding agent you already use, and papers.town, a Letterboxd for research papers where every paper you log becomes a building in a small 8-bit town that grows with your library. Before that I co-founded torch0, a supplier-side carbon accounting tool that turns real operational data into signed, auditor-verifiable receipts for enterprise Scope 3 emissions; we raised over $10k in equity-free funding before winding it down. I also co-founded Digested AI, an AI content curation platform with paying subscribers, and along the way built ML APIs handling 10,000+ daily requests, embedded C firmware for a Formula Student electric racecar, and projects across the full stack.

Soon I'll be co-authoring a research paper on using AI agents to accelerate advanced materials discovery. More on that coming soon.

I think a lot about ontology: how systems model what they operate on, and why getting the representation right matters before the automation.

I care about tools that are decoupled, model-agnostic, and open. I believe in shipping fast, because momentum fixes most things.
